A rather strange thing happened yesterday…then again…maybe not so strange.
I did a rather random post about meditation which included a photo that I had taken of a Buddha statue on the big island of Hawaii.
Not much later, I received an email from Lisa Zaritzky – Director of Publicity at Thomas Allen Publishers. She wanted to know if I would be interested in reviewing a copy of Tim Ward’s book called What the Buddha Never Taught.
I told her I was interested and that she might want to check out my blog with my aforementioned post.
She wrote back…”Wow.”
Serendipity? Strange Convergences? Woo-Woo Lay Lines? Hajee-Babba at Work?
You be the judge. I just thought it was pretty darned timely.
Hi Colleen,
Looks like Lisa Z never followed through with the promised copy of What the Buddha Never Taught. I’d like to rectifiy that and send you one – just send me your address. You might be interested to know I am coming to Vancouver and Victoria on an book tour Feb. 6-11 2011. This will include a public talk at the Vancouver Public Library (main branch). I have had great audiences for these events in the past – would you be interested in spreading the word? just let me know.
You seem to share the traveler’s spirit I’ve known all my life…
Tim
Hey Tim,
That’d be great. Not sure why the book never came because Lisa said she sent it again after I emailed her that it hadn’t arrived…
My mailing address is: 4447 Stalashen Drive, Sechelt, BC V0N 3A1
I’ve marked those dates in my calendar and would love to help in any way. Looking forward to reading your book.
Cheers,
Colleen
