Happy Monday to All.
‘Twas a fine day all round, though I was operating on a pretty typical and very usual Monday-mode. In my world, Monday equates with laundry, scrubbing the bathroom and other general cleaning. My, oh my, that’s exactly what my mom did. Monday was always wash day. Does everyone eventually default into their mother’s programming?
I’m not sure when this habit started, but somehow it was a way to help define the week. Considering that Kevin and I haven’t really been gainfully employed for almost 14 years, I had to do something so that the days didn’t all begin to morph into one big Groundhog Day of perpetual Saturdays.
Tomorrow is Tuesday and that is recycling day. Too funny. Just for the record, that arbitrary day was decided for us, but it helps me figure out where we are in the week. I just go to the end of the driveway and remember we need to get our blue boxes out there and am assured that it is indeed Tuesday again.
I promise not to go through the days of the week and the events associated with each…Instead I’ll finish with the biggest news out of all my emails…
I am definitely going to India in January 2011 to cycle 1600 kilometers with Tour d’Afrique. Agra to Mumbai or bust! I will be writing the story for Adventure Cyclist magazine.
Actually, I’m scared spitless about the whole idea, which is a very highly motivating emotional state and the reason why I’ll be cycling to the gym tomorrow.
