Happy Easter to you, too. A blessed time for many reasons. Rebirth, Resurrection and all of that. I heard a fellow on CBC yesterday, talking about life and consuming and reaching out to the marginal members of society…anyway he talked about the Gospels and got me intrigued, so I may read through those again. Have also been delving into my collection of spiritual books that I read years ago, including Louise Hay and Shakti Gawain. And it all seems new. I love being excited by things I thought I already knew but seem so new and fresh and vital. I just watched the sunrise. Brilliant purples and pinks. Very fitting for today. Thanks for so much for your ongoing inspiration.
Mary, I know what you mean about reading those books again and having them feel so new…and I don’t think it’s just because we’re over 50!
Each time I revisit a trusted book, I feel ready to discover and receive a fresh aspect of the writing. I think it is because I am in a different time of my life where these ‘new’ writings feel relevant for different reasons.
The weather continues to be glorious in Vancouver too. Each year it feels like Spring is a wondrously new and bright invention. Thanks for the reminder to dust off my collection of great old books too…Life continues to be an ongoing surprise!
Very Beatrix Potter! Easter – the most important date in Christianity, new beginnings, hope, joy and the rebirth of nature.
