I am about to put all the contest-entry names in a bowl.
One of the names drawn will be the winner of a copy of Younger Next Year for Women.
It is going to take me a little while to actually get the bowl from the lower cupboard because I’m SO stiff from all my pumping iron that I’m not moving that fast. I’ve been using The Women’s Health Big Book of 15-Minute Workouts by Selene Yeager as my guide in the gym and it appears that all this fitness could really take a gal out.
Between the Basic Superfast Total-Body Workout and the Bikini Body Workout 2, I’m feeling the effects. Not only because the exercises are killer but because of the ridiculous titles to these exercises: High School Reunion Workout 2, Tiny-Tank-Top Workout, Michelle-Obama-Arms Workout or my fave, Pushup Bra Workout. Seriously? Come on! Don’t they know you can just buy products with underwire for that?
Aside from the corny headlines, the actual exercises and science behind each workout plan seems very sound. I like the photos showing each pose, the easy-to-understand instructions and, if the aching muscles are any indication, I’d say it’s a pretty thorough workout.
Back to that bowl…whew…I’ve got it out of the cupboard now. That wasn’t that easy. Now. I just add all the names to the pile: Michele, Mary, Irene, Karen, Gwen, Sharry, Thanh, Barb, Viven, Dee Dee, Catherine, Sharon, Becca and Sarah.
My darling husband has just pulled one of the pieces of paper and ta ta da dah… the winner is: Sarah Stonich.
Congratulations Sarah. You now have no excuses 🙂
Thank you to everyone who commented and entered the contest. I hope you add some weight lifting to your routine soon, I’d encourage you to buy these two books (click on the Abe Books link below to find new or slightly-used copies) and then you too can ignore the stares of the other gym patrons as you do the Belly Pooch Workout!
