You know one of the things I love about traveling? It pushes me to complete things; see people, finish projects and generally gets me out of that frame of mind that says, “…maybe I’ll see you next week?”

If I don’t make it happen before I leave, it will be another two months before it does.

As a result, things are pretty snapped together around here, even the fridge got the tail end of my whirlwind and is a thing to behold.  Cheques and letters are mailed, the to-do list ticked, friends have been called, and the bag, oh my goodness, that little bag is finally packed. It all fit!

I’m leaving on a gorgeous summer day and will return here near the end of October. It will look very different here by then.

My next post will be on Monday…who knows? Perhaps the Queen will have me over for a crumpet or two. Until then…
