Argh. Somehow I have slipped away from my ‘real’ writing again.
I’m doing the blog. Check.
I’m doing the email. Check.
I’m writing the travel articles. Check.
And the big project? The one that I’m supposedly working on? No Check.
However, I figure if I throw out the public admission it will embarrass me into getting back at it. Consider me embarrassed.
The other problem? It’s gorgeous out there; sunny with a garden that is begging me to play in it. And I want to be balanced and do a little of the outdoor thing, a little of the writing thing, a little of the reading thing, (don’t forget the exercise thing!) and…well, you all know how it goes.
Then again, a teeter-totter was never a ride that was any fun if it was totally balanced. Some might even call it boring. So I’m figuring that I can hit the ground, bounce back up, crash again. Repeat. Repeat. And just keep hanging on.
I’m here for the big ride. Might as well keep changing it up.
A non-writing writer? Yeah, I can relate to that. But like Voltaire’s Candide, sometimes the best thing for us is to “tend our gardens.”
I like that Steve…I will ‘tend my garden’ and see how it goes 🙂
