I’m starting to feel the quivery excitement of upcoming travel plans and trips. Because of the commitment of my writing program that started in January and continues until the end of July, I have been feeling rather travel-deprived as of late. But changes are afoot and I’m ready.
Kevin will come with me on an upcoming weekend trip to Victoria at the end of this month so I can do research for a travel guide writing assignment; including the requirement to find a good place to have martinis (the stress of this job could kill me yet).
Then I’ll be off on my nine-day bike trip in July that will take ‘The Stupids” through parts of Montana.
At the beginning of August, Kevin & I will head out on another week-long bike trip with friends. We will cycle from Jasper to Banff, the same route done by The Stupids last year. And then at the end of that same month, he and I will fly to the U.K. for three weeks, including a 12-day walking trip along the Welsh/English border.
Kevin will come back home and I’ll keep going onward to India. I think I’ll be going to Rishikesh for a month to do some more writing and hanging about. Hopefully a few girlfriends will join me for some, or all, of that time. But if not, than I’ll be fine with just doing the solo writing thing.
That takes me to near the end of October. I’m hoping that should put the travel bug out of commission for a bit.
But you never know. It’s got a pretty strong bite.
