It’s daunting dahling…daunting I tell you.
Somehow that big shiny Fun House ride has spun around and here we are back on the Friday slot again. Maybe it’d be better if each day just had the next number so that today was only called by its number. Happy 28, I could say, instead of bringing up that whole same-name Friday thing again.
Perhaps it all wouldn’t feel so fast if those tired ol’ days of the week names weren’t repeating themselves every seven days?
Then again, it might make me focus too much on the fact that I’m now 28 days past the deadline I imposed for that e-book I was working on. Sigh…
Or that I’m 28 days into my writing course and I still have no clue as to what my focus is for this project.
Or that there a million books I want to read and people I want to see and things I want to do and…Holy smokes, one has to make choices about this whole use of time thing.
In a good news/bad news twist of fate, my post from last Friday has ceased to exist. It’s a long story, but suffice it to say, it has disappeared from the ether. The general focus of last Friday’s post or should I say, 21st’s post, was to add some links to some great sites I’ve discovered. I’m going to keep that plan going (at least for today) and suggest these:
Brene Brown’s – Ordinary Courage blog is inspirational and motivation and just plain happy…
Angie Mizzell’s blog keeps things fun and interesting…
There is so much to discover on The Rumpus Room, I don’t know where to start but one of my favourite sections is Writers Who Are Braver than Me.
Happy 28th Everyone 🙂
The Rumpus is a great link. I’m sure I will spend many hours there, developing unhealthy addictions for the links the sitekeeper finds, such as http://whyismycatsosad.blogspot.com/, a vast improvement over many I love my cat sites. I’ve already signed up for the ability to ‘receive overly personal emails from Stephen Elliot’.
However, in the tickled spirit of whimsy I discovered there an ad for the Fart Adoption Network… I thought it fit right in until I took a second look. Oops: Fine Art Adoption Network. http://www.fineartadoption.net/ puts together (obviously) fine artists with potential collectors.
Interesting theme running through things these days – it is all about ‘adoption’ and ‘rescue’. Well, I am going to adopt your habit of daily writing and rescue my own blog now.
I’m so glad you clarified the Fine Art site…I was trying very hard to imagine how one would participate in the Fart Adoption Network. Seemed, by its very nature, to be rather ephemeral and fleeting…Ahh yes, the transitory nature of life – not unlike Art I guess. Rescue and Adoption…Hmmmm. We need to talk.
Are you doing an online writing course? I’m contemplating taking a course or going to a workshop or something that will inspire me to actually work rather than read blogs and articles and books all day…
Angie Mizzell is one of my favorite bloggers 🙂
Too funny. I feel like I’ve ‘discovered’ Angie, and she’s been on your faves all along.
I’ve got bad news for you. I am indeed doing an online writing course through Humber and I am still ” reading blogs and articles and books all day”.
Luckily, there is enough guilt on my part to feel compelled to actually do some writing as well…which is what I’m about to start right after I post this 🙂
Bummer about the lost blog. Still, your output – even without that one – continues to amaze me. I have set myself the goal of eight per month, and even that is a challenge.
My output amazes you?!
You are the Queen of in-depth research and long and involved details. Remember, I’ve seen those archival binders and how many pages are on the Silver Bowl now?
My ‘output’ generally falls under the blathering about category, or was that blithering?
I’ve taken the true definition of blogging to be blabbing or was it blobbing? So hard to know.
