The tickets arrived today. In just over a week I’ll be starting a trip to St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda. Pretty soon I’ll throw together a carry-on bag so I can wheel through all the silly number of airports required to reach my destination.

The timing is looking good. It clouded over and cooled off considerably today. There have been little droplets here and there and last Sunday was a downpour. Definitely time to get out of Dodge, though it must be noted that I’ll be heading into hurricane season on those tropical islands.

Aside from that hurricane fact, I don’t have the first clue about these places, which, of course, is the perfect reason to go. I’m thinking I might just get on top of the subject very soon.  

Then again, I do like being surprised by a place and figuring it out as I go. We’ll see…
