Imagine a bookstore with nothing but articles and books on writing.
The shelves are deep and layered and go on forever. Some slide in front of others on wonderful deep tracks. There is one of those wooden sliding ladders to reach the really great article just above your head… And you discover this…that, every single thing you pull up is completely relevant to what you’re working on. The easy-to-absorb articles are about craft and editing and imagery…
Where are you?
If it were a perfect world; it would be a fantastic coffee bar/bookstore. There would be a bulletin board for writing groups and there would be areas to work quietly and round tables to join in a discussion any time.
There would be a beach nearby, and every once in a while you could just leave all your stuff (there are no thieves in this perfect bookie world 🙂 and go for a stroll in the sand to sort through a thought or two.
Alas, unless someone could please leave a comment and tell me such a place exists, than the harsh reality is that you’re going to have to settle for the next best thing; the on-line resource at The Writer Magazine.
Maybe our cyber-selves could meet for a coffee? Say about 3 today? I’ll see you there.
