I’m still working on the art of appreciation without need for connection to anything else. Just appreciate it, you know the ol’ Art for Art’s Sake concept. I’m also working on the art of relaxation and gratitude. Practise those enough and well, really…is there anything else?

It is enough to appreciate being alive just because you are. Not because you showed up and produced anything. Just being. Just because. My goal is learn how to just be.  The question is, does having this goal negate the ‘just being’ thing?

Apparently it’s a dead simple concept. But it ain’t easy.

But I started again. Hell, I start again every day.

But today’s take on it was to sit and watch our chickens. Yup. We are the proud owners of three new chickens. Sean has decided their names are Courage, Confidence and Karma. Haven’t quite decided who’s who yet. They’re a tad freaked out with their brand new world and are spending time huddled mostly in one corner of the brand new chicken ranch house that Kevin’s built.

Baby steps. We’ll start with watching the chickens. Throw in the hummingbirds who I’m pretty sure aren’t checking their daytimers.  Check out the gulls and watch the garden grow.  I might figure this out yet. Maybe I’ll have a cup of tea now.
