The rain has intensified. The long-range forecast is for continuous slop. The good news? The lettuce is loving it.
The bad news? I don’t think I know where my rain protectors are for my cycling shoes. I hate cycling when my feet feel like they’re in a continous rinse cycle with each revolution of the pedals. And my toes end up looking like something pickled in formeldehyde and like something that is kept in a big clear pickle jar in a bar in Newfoundland with a ritual that involves screech or something…I did say…”or something.”
Monday we start on the sojourn up the Coast. 66 klicks the first day to the West Coast Wilderness Lodge. I’ve heard good things…all I know for sure is there’s a hot tub waiting there. That might prove to be a very fine idea.
Now that I’m onto this youtube thing, I’m going to try to do some video on this trip. Perhaps I can get some good close-ups of puddles or mud or something killer like that…
Until then, have a safe and happy Saturday/Sunday. I pull the plug on Sundays. Nothing that has a mouse or a keypad or wireless capabilities allowed on Sundays…just books and newspapers and reading and writing…and my writing group.Yeah!
I have declared Sundays as Tech-Free Days.
