Here’s why you should always hang in there…Today was a totally different and energized day than yesterday’s flattened mess. Go figure.
I swear you think you’re waking up the same person, but like the tides or the changing weather, our bodies just do what they’re going to do and we either go along for the ride or ??
Well, there’s not much of a choice, except I suppose, choosing to accept that we are just shifting sand. I guess the other choice is you could choose to fight it but I think that would be a rather futile exercise.
Go with the flow, as they say.
I still didn’t write today, but feel quite fine with that. I bought plants instead. That’s sort of like writing isn’t it?
And I went for a massage to get my hip untwisted.
And I worked on a collaged box.
And I went to the gym for the first time in years. I met up with a personal trainer guy; fabulous man named Phil Sera. I’m meeting him again next Tuesday and he’s setting me up with a program of core and upper body strengthening. This is going to be the year that cycling doesn’t hurt. Yes sir.
All this is because, though it’s not 100% sure yet, my plan is to cycle Agra to Mumbai in January 2011 with Tour d’Afrique. It’s 1600 kms and I figure I need this much lead time to get in shape for it.
One day at a time, in spite of my inner weather system.
