One of the benefits of attending the recent Travel Media Association of Canada conference in Wales, was finding out about wonderful reader/writer festivals like the one at Hay-on-Wye. This gorgeous little book-filled village is right on the Wye river on the border between England and Wales.
I’ve been to the town, though not during the festival, but I learned that they’re now replicating this successful event in amazing places like the Alhambra in Grenada, Spain and Zacatecas, Mexico. I’ve been to both of the cities and can’t imagine how cool it would be to attend a festival like this in such settings.
However, if nothing else, this is a great site to find out about writers that you might never otherwise know about. It’s all very worthwhile.
