First day of the TMAC conference at the River Rock Casino. Had some great appointments with various tourism boards and then went on the Golden Village Culinary Tour with Nikki Barnes and Ange Chew from Richmond Tourism…where we proceeded to have four full meals at four different Chinese and Japanese restaurants. I was especially clever – having been out with those two before – and wore a straight tunic-style dress. No waist band for this girl. If one is to gorge. One must be clever. Indeed.

Met some great people and reconnected with other writers I haven’t seen in awhile. The general zeitgeist seems to be a little fearful of what’s going on in the media world.

I’m just not going there. I really believe this is going to be my best year of writing yet. Now I just need to click my special red shoes together, grab Toto, and we’re good to go.
