The demands here in Puerto are endless, simply endless. The moment-by-moment decisions that need to be made can be grueling. We are simply doing our best to get through each day.
Really…what else can we do?
This morning for instance…should we have mango and bananas with yogurt and squeeze some oranges for their golden juice? Or should we have a soft-boiled egg and toast? Or all of the above? Should we sit on the balcony with Iggy the iguana for company or should we dine inside? Or maybe we should just finish our coffees and walk to a nearby cafe for a grande plate of huevos rancheros?
Should I have my shower before we walk on the beach or after? Do we have enough limes for our sunset margaritas under the rooftop palapa? Where should we have lunch? When should I book my massage? Will there be enough time between all this to just sit and read???
All I know is that I’m glad I don’t have another appointment today. Yesterday I had to be on time for yoga AND then get ready for my pedicure AND then we both had to be ready to meet Michele’s friends so we could eat freshly-caught shrimp and listen to some great live music at Arcis Restaurant.
It was a real bitch.
I believe I first heard the quote on Seinfeld, but it bears repeating…”stressless stress is the worst kind of stress.”
I know you feel my pain.
