This episode of Family Guy is one of my all-time favourites and this particular clip kills me. Unfortunately both Kevin and Sean can do a perfect mimic of Stewie and I fall down every time.
I am almost finished my Fresh Start Retreat, please trust me when I tell you there will be plenty more to talk about on this experience in some future posts. But for now, I’m thinking about going home tomorrow. I plan on finishing some assignments and then revisiting the novel/memoir/or whatever incarnation this ambigious, nebulous, ephemeral, Jell-O like ‘thing’ is that I’m tip-tap-typing away on is meant to be.
But this time, I am going to practise working on the writing of it, rather than the finishing of it.
You know that old nugget about enjoying the journey rather than the destination? It’s a grand thought. And I’m hoping that trying that approach might help me get over being so damned precious about the whole thing.
I like this approach. Think I will adopt it, just as I have adopted so many other things you’ve thrown out there. Keep pitchin’!
Thanks Gwen. I’ll be posting some other recipes at some point and links to some ideas. We really are what we eat. No wonder that sayings been around so long 🙂
Are you writing a book? Fiction or travel memoir?
Hi Ruth, I am back and forth between a work of fiction and a memoir about my childhood. I’m starting an online writing course in January to help me focus. Keeping my fingers crossed…
